Welcome
to Human Service Center Developmental Training Program. We serve adults
age 18 and older who are developmentally disabled and have major functional
skills deficits. Our goal is to assist individuals in gaining skills
that will increase their ability to live and function in integrated
social settings and to promote independence in daily living and economic
self-sufficiency.
This is accomplished in several ways. We provide classroom settings
for both one on one and group learning through hands on experience.
Several different forms of work opportunities are available to assist
in the learning of skills needed for increased independence and socialization.
Community integration is a very important part of goals that we strive
for with all individuals we serve. |

There are shopping
trips to local stores, dining out at local restaurants and visiting local
attractions.
Because individuals participate in several fund raiser yearly, they are
able to attend many events that would not be available otherwise as well
as purchase items that enhance their environment. They have purchased computers
for the classrooms, learning programs, and recreational items with their
money as well as plan special events such as Grizzle Ball Games, Christmas
shopping at the mall, and going out to eat.
Work is also a valuable learning experience and many different opportunities
are available. There is janitorial work, food service, clerical, production
assembly, wood assembly, and warehousing in the state use program
